Disorder Gallery, Darlinghurst

See exhibitions by Diana Nicholette Jeon and Richard Sawdon Smith at Disorder Gallery this weekend. Diana’s exhibition ‘Nights as Inexorable as the Sea’ considers the quirky and unpredictable nature of dreams and memories. While Richard Sawdon Smith dips into his dressing up box to play with themes of gender, identity, sexuality, subjectivity, masculinity, and everything in between.

Emmanuel Angelicas at ATLAS Community & Cultural Centre, Marrickville 

Emmanuel’s exhibition ‘Silent Agreements-Marrickville-50-Home’  celebrates fifty years of photography in Sydney’s Marrickville. Emmanuel roamed the streets on his doorstep with the confidence of a local and the passion of a provocateur.

Belinda Mason at Delmar Gallery, Summer Hill 

Belinda Mason’s ‘Breaking Silent Codes’ is an exhibition of portraits of Australian Indigenous women who came together to share stories of cultural and spiritual responses to family & domestic violence and sexual assault in communities across Australia and the Pacific.

Ilan Wittenberg at Ted’s world of imaging

A collection of captivating portraits of the Maasai people from Tanzania: Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu Plains and Serengeti National Park. Ilan was deeply inspired upon meeting the Maasai tribe and documented the unique culture which is being eroded by Western influence and modern technology. 

 

Wildlife photographer of the year at Australian National Maritime Museum

There is still time to see the fantastic Wildlife Photographer of the Year exibition. The world’s best nature photography exhibition, is even BIGGER and BETTER than ever in 2020, brought to you in partnership with the National Maritime Museum and the Natural History Museum in London.
