In our upcoming Spotlight session, Louisa Kirby, photo editor for the Sydney Morning Herald, will teach you how to edit your photos with the instincts of a pro.
As a leading industry professional with an unparalleled eye for editing and many years of experience, Louisa will give valuable industry insights, such as creating a coherent story in your photographic imagery, nurturing a critical eye, and effectively organising visual content.
She will even divulge some practical industry advice on ‘how to pitch your work to a photo editor.’

About our guest
Louisa Kirby has extensive experience as a photo editor and visual researcher working with several clients, including Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Who Magazine, Bauer Media Group. She is currently working as a visual researcher for the Sydney Morning Herald and has worked with Head On Foundation as a Photo Award judge and selector and has provided portfolio reviews.

Non-members need to pay the booking fee to join the session.
Once you've registered, you'll receive an email confirmation. The following steps are:- One hour before the session, you will receive the link to the session.
- Playback will depend on your internet connection and computer setup.
- The session will be recorded and made available to paid Head On Photo Festival members at a later date.
