The Kimberley region in the north of Western Australia is considered one of Australia’s greatest natural and cultural treasures and also one of our planet’s last great wild places. Few people have had the pleasure of experiencing the remote coastline with boat, floatplane or helicopter the only means of access. The coast experiences some of the largest tides in the world with spring tidal ranges of up to 14 metres in some areas.
This massive movement of water creates a dynamic and complex coastline and for the photographer an ever changing visual canvas where every day is different. This exhibition takes an aerial view over this vast coastline and seeks to capture moments in time. Each image telling a story of the Kimberley coasts remote wild beauty, a thing to be treasured for all time.
