Dryads and Divas

A joint exhibition of fantastical portraiture, surreal figures and narrative landscapes utilizing digital and traditional wet film processes.
Catherine Hourihan constructs a pictorial space between fantasy and reality. She portrays local characters as mythical beings in an urban context. Paola Talbert references nature and sprit, she is interested in the collision between digital and traditional wet film technologies. Her work recalls late 19thcentuary photographic aesthetic of the staged tableaux.
