Vintography: Recreating the methods of the earliest photographers.
An exhibition of alternative photographic art, from four photographers who use historic processes to create contemporary images.
The artists exhibiting in this show get their kicks from archaic techniques including experimenting with chemistry, using antiquated camera gear, and following painterly or printmaking processes.
The show features David Jenkins’ Wet Plate Collodion tintypes, Jill Lacina’s Photogram Photogravues, Tony Peri’s Bromoils of Hungary, and Kirsten Spry’s Salt Prints of sea pools and Cyanotypes of lace. All artists are members of the Primrose Park Photography Group.
Artists talk ‘Historic processes in the digital age’ Saturday 2 June 2pm – free.
Participating photographers: David Jenkins, Jill Lacina, Tony Peri and Kirsten Spry
