The ‘Call of the Wild’ is a strong motivator for many of us to explore the world of mountains and remote regions. This series of images seeks to juxtapose the relative insignificance of those who seek out adventure against the overwhelming vastness of the wilderness environment in which they have been photographed. The photos are from locations all over the globe there is minimal post processing other than usual contrast and tonal adjustments and my intention is to print them in very large format and in high contrast monochrome to focus attention on and emphasize the difference in scale between the human figure(s) and the surrounding landscape.
