The idea of the series “Correspondence” emerged the day after the death of Molon’s maternal grandfather who he barely knew.
Molon was in charge of emptying the house of a man who he had seen only twice in his life. This created the yearning to learn more.
Molon found old movies from the 1950s in the dusty attic and mixed these with old movies of his paternal grandfather, who had also passed away and who Molon knew very little of.
Molon photographed the images on the screen. Allowing him to feel he knew his grandfathers a little more.
Each photograph in this personal project is like an instant and invented souvenir of his grandfathers’ lives.
