Vestiges

‘Vestiges’ is an exploration of human consciousness by means of the photographic practice. By looking into the recurrent process of change, the exhibition documents inner and outer transformations and the imprints they leave on our personal reality.
The works include still life charged with symbolism, alternating with decayed buildings and evolving landscapes ravaged by fire. They represent the human potential for destruction and regeneration.
Also presented are oneiric images that consider the bed as stage for human experience. Here, remnants or threads of reality appear tangible one moment and absent the next.
The exhibition comprises of digital and analogue images.
With an $70,000 prize pool, it represents a global selection of the best work from emerging and established photographers.
