Photographer Matthew Syres returns to Gallery Red to further explore a photographic journey through three states and over three and a half thousand kilometers. All images are rendered in toned black and white and printed on archival bamboo paper.
Matthew Syres is a commercial, fine art and documentary wedding photographer with a focus on the environment, animal rights and social justice issues. In this exhibition, Matthew once again demonstrates his love for photography and his surroundings.
“Since my teenage years I have been obsessed with a photographs ability to record a moment in time. The light, never quite the same twice, the natural elements will grow or decay, people and the built environment transform and age. My perceptions also alter; the way I see a subject, or visualise a result, changes with my own mood, thoughts, or inspiration.”
