It’s spring. Take a look at the tiny fiddlehead. It’s ready to unfurl, spring open with an almost palpable energy. See the peculiar Gray Spider Flower, Buxifolia. Up close soft, new hairy tentacles take on a life of their own. Then there’s the Lesser Flannel Flower, minute stars scattered about the bush. Up close, petals morph into feathers.
It’s Spring … Look Closely captures nature’s patterns, textures, and colour. With this group of photographs I explore the details of the season, often elegant, sometimes bizarre. Tracy Ponich, Feathermark Photography
