Weather Mind

Ephemeral moments from De Quincey Co’s performances are presented through the work of Mayu Kanamori and Russell Emerson who both continue to document the work of BodyWeather related artists in a collaboration between photographers, dancers, choreographers, video, sound and lighting artists.
BodyWeather is a broadbased training, proposing practical strategies to mind and body, founded by butoh dancer Min Tanaka and his Mai-Juku performance group in Japan, brought to Australia by Tess de Quincey.
The practice has inspired the photographers to explore their relationship with place, performers, audience, focus, peripheral vision and their own bodies in space and time.
