This series of ongoing work provides a glimpse into the life of the Chinese market gardeners and their cultural landscape in the Sydney Basin, exposing the remains of historically significant agricultural land in the inner city as well as plots along the western fringe of Sydney set against backdrop of ever expanding suburbia.
The photographic imagery also touches on contemporary concerns around food miles, the availability of fresh food and sustainability through the juxtaposition of the suburban and agricultural landscapes; Australian and Chinese ways of life on the farm and documentation of the day to day labourers in the field.
