Cade Turner Biography.
Cade Turner (b. Sydney, Australia, 1977) received a bachelor of media (visual communications from Macquarie University in 2001. Since his first solo exhibition, Light+Colour+Movement in Sydney in 2010, he has exhibited locally and internationally in New- York and Florence, Cade’s work predominantly concentrates on Pictorialism (c1845), an early form of impressionist art photography which focuses on the aesthetics and emotional impact of a work, rather then the object or scene itself. Inspired by Monet and the great painter of light, Joseph Mallord William Turner, Cade is fascinated by the emotion and mystery light creates.
This show will exhibit three of Cade’s recent photographs Untitled V, Untitled VI, and Untitled VII from his North Head series. Cade works intuitively in-camera, using his camera as his paintbrush to capture powerful, emotive scenes of light. His work incorporates a modern, minimalist and impressionistic style.
