In The shadow of The King photographed by Fiona Wolf 2012.
Head On Portrait Prize winner Fiona Wolf is showing a documentary series catching the odd balls and quirks of the annual Elvis Festival in Parkes. In 2012 she sets out to photograph the train ride to Parkes from Sydney and shakes a leg in the country town of Parkes in NSW from early morning performances to late night shows of Elvis impersonators and their Elvis- hungry fans.
The show includes last year’s Head On Portrait Prize finalist image ‘In the shadow of the King’ showing aboriginal Elvis impersonator Lenny in his sparkling white Las Vegas suit. The book ‘In the shadow of the King’ is available at Momento Pro.
