This show is a collaborative exhibition of photographers from the Mountains Photographic Collective – Carole Hampshire, Ellen Wickens, Jeff Davies and Jeremy Lee Stokes.

Carole Hampshire is a published English-born photographer who believes good portrait photography is an art form.  Over the years Carole has looked for a deeper connection with her subjects and sees the process as two-way; both have to be willing to give something of themselves to that moment.  Carole has been a finalist in the Head On Photography Awards and has had her work exhibited internationally.

Ellen Wickens is a young photographer/cinematographer whose images showcase her love of detail and light. Each work is a glimpse into the way she sees the detail in each moment.  Her works are spontaneous, playful and attempt to make the audience focus on just one thing.

Jeff Davies has been a photographer for many years and chances are, if you have ever picked up a travel brochure of Asia, one of his images may have inspired you.  Jeff is primarily a wedding and portrait photographer and helps to run Mountain Life, a social media community.  Jeff’s series of works named ‘The Fragility of Being’ represents the fragility of getting through life that we all face at some time in our lives. Most of us just hit a bump in the journey, whilst others face a constant daily battle to prove their worthiness to exist.”

Jeremy Lee Stokes’ work is highly influenced by his love and passion for filmmaking. As a director and writer the idea, heart and soul of all his work is based around the idea of ‘creating an unforgettable experience for the audience through story’. Witnessing the emotions and journey that an individual goes through while viewing his work means everything to Jeremy and is why he does what he does.
