Sara Roney Gallery is situated in 19a Boundary Street Paddington, a stylish building that is an exciting blend of textile decorating shops and creative offices. Sarah has a major stake in this building and has taken the initiative of forming a new model of gallery at a time when they are badly needed.

Using the spaces of the building itself (the coffee shop and foyer and the corridors throughout the building) she exhibits contemporary art and video that is minimal and cool in feel. She has represented many artists in this setting over the last nine years.

This year for Head On Photo Festival she exhibits work by three photographic artists Tania Browitt, Zorica Purlija and Julie Williams. All three represent their artistic ideas with simplicity and abstraction exploring underlying ideas of identity, sensuality and the spirit.

Tania Browitt expresses her interests in identity in Braille and collage, Zorica Purlija was influenced by her involvement in Berlin culture and Julie Williams uses water as a metaphor for the human spirit.

Explore the building, have coffee and a bite and you may be lucky enough to discover the Dennis Hopper works on the third floor. This endeavour is a hidden gem.
